What is clint mathis?

Clint Mathis is a retired American soccer player who is best known for his time playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) and for the United States national team. He was born on November 25, 1976, in Conyers, Georgia.

Mathis began his professional soccer career in 1998 with the Los Angeles Galaxy before moving on to play for the New York/New Jersey MetroStars (now known as the New York Red Bulls), the Colorado Rapids, Real Salt Lake, and the Los Angeles Galaxy again.

He was known for his skill on the field, particularly his powerful shot and ability to score goals. Mathis had a standout season in 2000 with the MetroStars, scoring 16 goals and being named to the MLS Best XI.

Mathis also earned 46 caps for the United States national team, scoring 12 goals. He represented the US in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, where he scored a memorable goal against South Korea.

After retiring from professional soccer in 2008, Mathis has worked as a youth coach and in various broadcasting roles. He was inducted into the Georgia Soccer Hall of Fame in 2013.
